Welcoming a new deputy to Blackhawk Police Services

Deputy James Trevino is the newest member of the Blackhawk District Police. Deputy Trevino has been with the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff since November 2018. 

Deputy Trevino attended the Sheriff’s Department’s Academy (LETC), where he was a standout recruit amongst his classmates. Upon graduating from the Academy, he began his career in Custody Division, working at both West County and Martinez Detention Facilities, and as a bailiff in Court Security. Deputy Trevino transferred to Patrol Division in 2022 and worked Valley Station and Muir Station, serving the communities of Alamo, unincorporated Danville and Baypoint. 

Prior to beginning his career in law enforcement, Deputy Trevino worked as a supervisor for Altergy Systems, a hydrogen fuel cell company. Deputy Trevino has served in the United States Air Force reserves since 2009 and is currently an aviator with 4 deployments to the Middle East. In his off-time Deputy Trevino enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his wife and two daughters (ages 8 and 6) who are involved in competitive gymnastics. Please welcome Deputy Trevino in his new assignment with the Blackhawk District Police.
