May the Fourth Be With You
@Downtown Danville, Town Green & Village Theatre
Come celebrate all things Star Wars at the Town of Danville’s May the 4th Be With You Event! Looking for more ways to celebrate Star Wars? On May the 4th, a free scavenger hunt will start and end at the Danville Community Center anytime between 10:30 am–6:00 pm. The first 150 participants to finish will receive a grab bag of Jedi treasures. A Star Wars movie will take place at the Village Theatre. Visit to purchase tickets and for more information.Jedi training activities taking place on the Town Green from 4:00–6:00 pm. Costumes are encouraged. Kids need a night out, too! Come create arts & crafts, play games, eat a snack and enjoy a movie! Feel free to come dressed up along with the theme for the month! Trained recreation staff will provide all the fun, excitement and supervision. Children are welcome to bring a sleeping bag and pillow for the movie. Pre-registration is required at

Animals on Broadway Virtual Event
@The Comfort of Your House
ARF’s Annual Pet Walk/Parade and Wellness Fair is taking place virtually this year. Join ARF in celebrating the special bond between pets and people at this community festival.  Get the whole family – including your pet – to save lives at the virtual pet walk!! Sign up as an individual or with friends as a team to help raise $100,000 for animals in need at this one-mile walk.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Honor and remember our fallen veterans at Danville’s Memorial Day Celebration. Follow the American flags on Stone Valley Road to Oak Hill Park, where you’ll enjoy live music, entertainment, and a special ceremony including guest speakers and tributes to past and present service members. Bring a picnic lunch and share this patriotic and educational event with the whole family.

Tips for Change Community Fundraising Events
@Gianni’s Italian Bistro
Gianni’s Italian Bistro opens up their restaurant to support our local non-profit community. Tips for Change is a fun and unique way for local charity organizations to raise much needed funds. Volunteers and supporters of local non-profits suit up and become your servers for the evening with all tips and 10% of sales going to support their organization. This event occurs most Monday evenings between 5 and 8pm and is open to the public. Reservations required.
