Danville Veterans Day Celebration

Help honor our Veterans by participating in some of the activities in Danville this Veterans Day.  A special tribute video and slide show will be shown honoring Vietnam Veterans and other Veterans service organizations in the San Ramon Valley. Throughout Veterans Day Weekend – Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11,  the Veterans service organizations  will be hosting an extended open house at the Veterans Memorial Building, showcasing the military displays,  Military vehicles
and more.

2018 RISE | Forma Gym Turkey Trot
This Thanksgiving, before the big meal, games, and pumpkin pie why not get a little exercise with a few thousand of your neighbors. The Forma Gym Turkey Trot is an event the entire family can enjoy. There are several races to choose from including Kids Fun Runs, 10K and 5K runs, and festival areas with a costume contest. By running the Turkey Trot you will also be giving back to your local community through our beneficiaries like the Food Bank, WCEF, PEAK, and The Wellness City Challenge. The event takes place in beautiful Downtown Walnut Creek and goes through a flat terrain of neighborhoods, businesses, and part of the Iron Horse Trail.
Event Distances: 5K, 10K, Kids’ Fun Run (½ mile, ¼ mile, 100yd dash).
Location: Civic Park, 1375 Civic Dr, Downtown Walnut Creek, California.
Packet Pickup is located at Forma Gym, 1908 Olympic blvd., Walnut Creek CA.

Lighting of Old Oak Tree @Diablo Road
Make memories with your
loved ones at Danville’s annual tree lighting Ceremony. Watch as Father Christmas and the Snow Angel sprinkle a little magic dust on the old oak tree and bring it to light. Warm feelings will quickly quell the cool air as local choral groups provide musical accompaniment and neighborhood Businesses pass out hot beverages. Want to keep the magic going? Stroll downtown and enjoy refreshments, entertainment, and holiday shopping through the festively decorated streets.

Gianni’s Italian Bistro opens up their restaurant to support our local non-profit community. Tips for Change is a fun and unique way for local charity organizations to raise much-needed funds.  Volunteers and supporters of local non-profits suit up and become your servers for the evening with all tips and 10% of sales going to support their organization. This event occurs most Monday evenings between 5 and 8 pm and is open to the public. Reservations required.
