Valentine’s Day Crafting

I love going to a candy store (especially Danville Chocolates) in February. I love all the pops of pink and red I see decorating the shelves along with the hearts, teddy bears and warm sentiments. I often see something new and creative that inspires me to create something of my own.

This year I decided to create my own “heart shaped” candy box. You can purchase a heart shaped box from Joann’s, Michael’s, Target, and probably many other stores and decorate them. You  can also make one from scratch! I think kids would love this project.

Another item I decided to make for Valentine’s Day is Spicy Red Pepper Jelly. My husband loves it. I use this simple recipe from Epicurious. com. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/spicy-red-pepper-jelly-236699

My friends and family LOVE to receive a jar as a gift. It is super tasty with goat cheese or cream cheese on a cracker. I make homemade labels using Avery labels and print them from my color printer.

Have a delightful and yummy February!
