TVAR Dog/Puppy Foster Program: Coffee- Adorable, Fun-Loving Youngster

Coffee is a 1-year-old, Spaniel/Dachshund mix. He weighs 13 pounds. He has been a nice guest in his foster home where he has mastered house training, sleeps in a crate at night, and he’s learning commands. He’s a no-fuss foodie, and settles down for naps while his foster family works nearby. Coffee will love an active family that provides regular exercise and activities. He does well with other energetic, similar size dogs.

All of TVAR’s foster dogs and pups like Coffee are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They all live in foster homes till adopted; this allows foster families to get to know each dog’s personality and needs in a home setting – allowing TVAR to find the right match so dogs and adopters thrive!

TVAR Foster Kitten/Cat Program: Mama Jackie

Mama Jackie, named because she looks like a Jack-O-Lantern, is a beautiful and unique buff tabby cat who is mom to three handsome grey tabby boys. Jackie’s right eye was underdeveloped and infected when she was surrendered to the animal shelter with her kittens. Tri- Valley Animal Rescue was able to take her and her family in, remove the eye and alleviate her pain, and provide her with love and support in a foster home. Jackie will now be able to flourish when she finds her forever home. She loves a good head bump and chin scratch and will curl up next to you after you feed her, chirping and purring.

TVAR’s kitten and bottle baby programs rescue kittens – some only days old – who are unable to be adopted from the shelter and place them in foster homes where they receive medical care, love, and a home setting until they are healthy, able to be spayed or neutered and ready for their forever homes It is through the collaborative efforts of TVAR’s volunteers and foster families that these kittens, once vulnerable and in need, are now on a path toward a future brimming with hope, joy, and endless possibilities.
