My 30 year journey chasing the perfect facelift
Since I started Plastic Surgery in Blackhawk in 1994, I’ve always had a passion for Facial Rejuvenation because of the high stakes, complexity and challenge of each person’s anatomy. With a procedure like liposuction, there is room for a little error, but not with the face. Every little wrinkle, muscle and expression needs to be taken into consideration.
After performing over 1,000 facelifts throughout my career, direct learning from the world’s leading facelift masters and relentlessly pursuing better and better results, we are doing our best facelift ever.
In the early 2000’s, plastic surgeons started getting together to study the outcomes of their facelifts and compare notes on best practices. This led to tremendous advancements in techniques that produced superior results from traditional facelifts.

Originally, facelifts typically pulled on the skin and didn’t focus on the underlying structure. We now know that to achieve a natural looking facelift result, the skin and the underlying muscle and ligaments need to be pulled in slightly different directions. Additionally, there have been massive advancements in the neck rejuvenation area of a facelift which produce much sleeker, smoother and longer lasting results.
This journey to perfect the Facelift has led me all over the country, to Dubai in the Middle East, visiting the operating rooms of some of the most renowned Facelift plastic surgeons in the world and having them visit our surgery center here in Blackhawk. Earlier this year I was honored to moderate a panel of those facelift experts on the topic of safety of deep neck surgery for the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Anesthesiology is extremely important for any surgical procedure, however, most plastic surgeons do not know who their anesthesiologist will be for that day when they walk into the operating room. At our surgery center, Dr. Stompro and Dr. Cheng have been working with our 3 anesthesiologists every day for over 20 years. The way the doctors, anesthesiologists and surgical technicians know each other is completely unmatched in the industry.
