October Crafts

October is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier! It’s one of my favorite months of the year. I love Halloween, the crisp fall weather, and, of course, anything and everything pumpkin-spiced. One of my favorite things about this time of year is gathering with friends and family to make crafts—and finding inspiration in something new and unexpected. Recently, my sister was making these adorable vintage-inspired Halloween wreaths, and I immediately fell in love with them. The best part? They’re incredibly easy to make! My sister discovered some charming vintage Halloween paper decorations at a secondhand craft store in Sebastopol. If you don’t happen to find vintage pieces locally, you can easily create your own collection by searching Etsy, Michael’s, or Amazon for vintage-inspired Halloween decorations. For my wreath, I started with a simple wire wreath form that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I also picked up some black tulle. Using a hot glue gun, I secured the tulle around the wire wreath and then attached the vintage Halloween decorations. That’s it! The project was simple, came together quickly, and turned out so cute.

There’s something extra special about decorating for Halloween with handmade touches, especially when you can give old-fashioned vintage pieces a new life. If you make your own vintage-inspired Halloween wreath, I’d love to see it! Share your photos with me on Instagram at @michellesbarry1.
Happy October—and, most importantly, happy crafting!
Best,
Michelle
