The summer is flying by and there are many more months ahead with spectacular weather and not quite as hot as the July heat wave to get out to play this game that we all love. Our annual member tournament was held on July 11th. This year’s theme was the Kentucky Derby. Read more about this wonderful event in next month’s issue.
Charm Day is always the highlight of the month, with participating golfers paying just $5.00 each for the sweeps (golf shop credit) and awarded to Niners with low gross, low net and low putts. The overall low net winner is the Charm Day winner for the month. After a morning of friendly competition, the ladies gather for lunch to laugh, socialize and chat about the ‘charm’ of the game. It’s always fun to see the tables decorated with creative centerpieces and winners announced. June’s table centerpieces were created by Linda McColgan.
