With no regular Niner golf scheduled for the first week of May, a few of the ladies enjoyed participating in Orinda Country Club’s 2026 9-Tees Cardiac Masters Invitational. The theme of the invitational was The Masters, where we could make believe we were playing at Augusta and enjoy some of traditions that make it such a mem
orable event. Lunch included the famous sandwiches that have become synonymous with Augusta, including egg salad, pimento cheese and chicken salad sandwiches.
The Blackhawk ladies proudly represented the club by capturing both first place and third place honors, with Mary Porteous and Susie Bauernfeind taking first place and Fran Davis and Diane Manske taking third. This month, Niners are looking forward to our first Guest Day of the year on June 11th and Nine & Dine on June 28th.
