The Niner’s held their annual Member-Guest Tournament on July 30th & 31st. This year’s theme was “Let’s Flamingo,” and foursomes planned their outfits and went all out with their best flamingo inspired attire.
The two day event kicked off on Wednesday evening with a lively putting contest where everyone gathered in a circle and on the count of three, putted their balls toward the hole. With over 60 golf balls in play, the excitement was high to see whose ball made it in! Congratulations to Brenda McNabb who took home the win with a solo victory.

After the putting contest, the ladies headed out for a four-person scramble. Nine groups started on the front nine, and 8 groups started on the back nine. The evening concluded with cocktails, appetizers and the always popular “Putt for Wine” challenge – hit the wine bottle and you win a bottle of wine!
Day two began with a delicious buffet breakfast, team foursome photos, raffle items and a silent auction. Adding to the fun, husbands served as caddies with each foursome having a helpful guide to offer hints and suggestions throughout the day. The format was called “cha-cha-cha” with the best net ball recorded on a “cha” hole, the two best net scores were counted on a “cha-cha” hole and on a “cha-cha-cha” hole the three best net scores were recorded.
Both days also featured cocktail stations out on the course, perfect spots to pause, refresh and enjoy a nice drink with friends.
