Meet The Gupta Family: A Story of Passion, Creativity, and Community in Blackhawk

The Gupta family—Arvind, Richa, Siya, and Shivay—has embraced life with a beautiful blend of professional success, artistic passion, and deep cultural connections. Their journey from Kanpur, India, to the U.S., and ultimately to Blackhawk, is a story of love, ambition, and the pursuit of dreams.

A Love Story Rooted in Tradition
Arvind and Richa’s love story is one of tradition and romance. Their marriage was arranged in the classic Indian way, with family introductions leading to their first meeting. As their wedding day approached, Arvind expressed his excitement in the most heartwarming way—sending a countdown of rose bouquets, starting with ten roses and ending with one on their wedding day. It was a surreal experience for Richa, one she cherishes to this day.

Married in December 2007, the couple moved to the U.S. together in January 2008. Arvind, who had completed his Master’s from Purdue University, was already working as a hardware engineer, while Richa was finishing her Master’s in Biochemistry in India. She later pursued further studies at USF and now thrives as a Strategic Account Executive at Ansa Biotechnologies, while Arvind leads as the Head of Customer Engineering at MinIo.

Finding Home in Blackhawk
The Gupta family has moved across the Bay Area, from San Jose to Santa Clara to Fremont, before finally settling in Blackhawk during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was love at first sight— the scenic beauty, open spaces, and the country feel immediately stole their hearts. Within just 10 days of visiting, they secured their dream home, and they haven’t looked back since.

Creativity and Passion Beyond Work
Beyond their professional achievements, the Guptas are a family of artists and dreamers.

Arvind, an artist at heart, enjoys painting, sculpting, and creating. His latest passion project? Building a treehouse in their backyard for the kids,—a space where imagination can run wild.

Richa, on the other hand, has turned her childhood love for fashion and dance into a reality. She has been actively involved in teaching dance for Diwali celebrations in Blackhawk and is currently performing with Vaishnavi Dance Academy in Pleasanton. She has also taken the runway world by storm, winning Mrs. California Universe Petite 2025 and placing as 1st runner-up at the national level for Mrs. Universe USA Petite 2025. With runway shows lined up for New York Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, along with an upcoming feature in TWIF (The What of Insta Fashion) Magazine, she’s making her mark in the industry while balancing life as a mom and business executive.

Eleven-year-old Siya, much like her mother, has a keen eye for fashion. She is already taking fashion design classes and loves expressing herself through singing and performing.

Six-year-old Shivay enjoys art and craft projects, from painting to making creative pieces out of paper plates and cups.

Building a Legacy of Empowerment
Richa’s recent pageant success has inspired her to give back to the community. She hopes to empower women and young girls to pursue their dreams, no matter the hurdles. She believes in the power of self-love and confidence, encouraging others to find strength within before seeking validation from the world.

Spirituality and Staying Connected to Their Roots
At their core, the Guptas remain deeply connected to their culture and traditions. They strive to pass on spiritual values and cultural heritage to their children, ensuring that the essence of their Indian roots lives on for generations to come.

A Bright Future in Blackhawk
From art and fashion to engineering and biopharma, the Gupta family embodies hard work, passion, and creativity. Their journey from India to the U.S. and their love for Blackhawk serve as a testament to their adventurous spirit and commitment to building a life filled with purpose, joy, and community.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for this inspiring family!
