HOX Fall Swim Has Begun!

As the long summer days fade into autumn, the Blackhawk Swim Team (HOX) continues to make waves with its Fall Swim program, now underway. While summer swim is filled with sunshine, social events, and spirited competition, fall swim plays a different but equally important role—it’s about continuity, development, and keeping the HOX community connected year-round.

Why Fall Swim Matters
• Keeps Skills Sharp: Fall Swim ensures that the hard work and progress from summer don’t slip away. Swimmers maintain their rhythm in the water, refine their technique, and stay confident heading into the next competitive season.

• Builds Endurance & Strength: With a focus on training and consistency, fall practices help swimmers build a solid fitness foundation that benefits them all year long.

• Provides Structure & Balance: As school ramps up, Fall Swim gives athletes a healthy outlet after class—balancing academics with physical activity and reinforcing valuable time-management skills.

Summer vs. Fall Swim
• Summer Swim is high-energy, with packed calendars of meets, team events, and outdoor fun.

Fall Swim, on the other hand, offers a more focused environment. Without the rush of summer competitions, swimmers can dedicate time to skill-building, technique, and endurance—preparing them for the next phase of their HOX journey.

Both seasons matter, but together they create a full-circle program that strengthens swimmers as athletes and teammates.

A Community Effort
A program like HOX Swim thrives because of the dedication of not just the athletes and coaches, but also the many volunteers who give their time. A special thank you goes to Miki Tsubota, the team’s volunteer photographer. Even though his son Chase is still on the team—competing as a swimmer and serving as one of our coaches—Miki continues to show up with his camera to capture the season for all the swimmers. His generosity and talent provide families with meaningful images that highlight both the action in the pool and the spirit of the HOX community. His photos provide families with a meaningful record of the season. Thank you Miki!

Carrying the Momentum
Fall Swim is more than just an extension of summer—it’s an integral part of the HOX Swim Team experience, keeping swimmers active, motivated, and connected as the seasons change. With committed coaches, supportive families, and volunteers like Mike behind the lens, the HOX community continues to thrive well past the summer months.
