Niners bring their *A* game on the road!
Blackhawk Niners are tied for first place in their team play division. The competition season kicked off April 28th at Roundhill Country Club. Thanks to golfers: 1st flight- Cheryl Hanson and Barbara Walsh; 2nd flight- Linda McColgan and Helen Tarantino: 3rd flight- Etienne Melcher and Fran Davis. Blackhawk tied for first in a dead heat with Moraga Country Club.
Golfers are flighted according to handicap and play two person best ball format. The Niners team held strong on May 5 at Rossmoor: 1st flight- Barbara Walsh and Rene Hirshberg; 2nd flight- Linda Marver and Joanne Knapp; 3rd flight- Lil Giovanzana and Etienne Melcher. Blackhawk and Moraga CC were neck and neck at press time for this publication. Team play co-chairs, Dale Muth and Mary Porteous, are hoping for home course advantage on June 16 when Blackhawk hosts WNHGA team competition on the Lakeside course. Good Luck Niners!
