Blackhawk Women’s Team

Reaches USTA National Tennis Championships

For amateur players, going to the annual National Championship hosted by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the pinnacle of tennis success. It’s the Wimbledon of amateur tennis!

The 55+ 6.0 women of Blackhawk Country Club recently earned that unique achievement. They represented Northern California in the National Championships on Oct. 28-30 in Orlando, Fla. In doing so, our talented ladies became only the fourth Blackhawk team who have made it to the Nationals since 2000.

While they didn’t bring home the crown, the ‘Hawks came close to making to the Final Four in their division. They impressed everyone with their shot-making, gritty determination, and team spirit – not to mention their fashion style and line-dancing skills. Let’s give a hearty round of applause to these outstanding women:

We’re very proud of the Blackhawk Women’s Team! They represented Blackhawk and Northern California with class, talent, and style. PS: They’ve already adopted their battle cry for next season: “Nationals 2023!”
